Central Florida's Wildlife: a richness of diversity

If you go to Florida, wildlife confronts you in the world. In particular, the exotic birds fascinated me, often coming close to subtropical bird species golf or a picnic in a public park

Central Florida is actually much more interesting destination for naturalists than I expected. Both Florida's plant and wildlife are surprisingly diverse and Florida is the 3rd most ecologically diverse state, after Hawaii and California.

This is anearly flat lowland that gently toward the sea on the east coast and west. The plain is unique physical properties that are associated with the different ecosystems that exist here. The mostly flat topography was created by fluctuations in sea level over time. coastal dunes, barrier islands, lagoons and rivers, tides that have been shaped by the tides, currents and winds.

The interior of Central Florida is through swamps, ponds and lakes, a paradise offor birds. South of Orlando, Lake Wales Ridge, a ridge of sand dunes, hills and sandy plains is associated. This ridge was an island in earlier geological periods when sea levels were higher. As a result, many species that are unique to exist here in this area.

The Florida Birding Trail (http://www.floridabirdingtrail.com) is a collection of sites throughout Florida selected for their excellent opportunities for bird watching or bird education. This route 2,000 milesis to conserve and enhance Florida's bird life and promotes bird-watching, environmental education and economic opportunities.

Florida is a paradise for bird watchers due to its geographical location between tropical and temperate regions. Florida is also a destination for many migratory birds from the north, some birds fly 3,000 miles of us. Overall, Florida is home to over 470 bird species found. A great article about the different types ofBirds in Florida may be a list of Visit Florida Florida Birdwatchers found in equipment.

Of course, one of the largest animals of the American alligator in Florida. And even if this time we do not see any (except for a gator tail sticking out under some bushes on our Swamp Buggy Tour), alligators have an incredible comeback after they became extinct because of overhunting led front in the 20th Century. Alligators have been taken in by the Federal list of endangered species1987, and in particularly hot days you can see are also sunbathe on the edges of ponds and streams.

Timacuan golf course was where we saw the cranes, they are extremely docile and certainly not afraid of people.

Several species of fish in Central Florida, a fact that makes it a popular destination among the fishermen there. The species include large mouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, sunshine bass, speckled perch, catfish and a variety of other SweetwaterFish.
The wildlife of Florida is rich and varied, but most of us know only a dozen species. Florida, amphibians are amphiumas, mudpuppies, newts, salamanders, sirens, frogs and toads.
Many interesting mammals can also be found in Florida, including armadillos, bears, beavers, lynx, deer, wild boars, foxes, manatees, minks, moles, opossums, otters, panthers, pocket gophers, rabbits, raccoons, seals, shrews, skunks , squirrels and weasels.
